Plant Helper The water beads help plants retain water and reduce the amount of watering plants need. Release the water gradually so the plant isn't flooded with water. Also act as a replacement for soil with some plants. Bamboo plants do well with water beads rather than soil. Placing water beads around plants is an excellent way to dispose of them.
How to Use Water Beads
- 1 tsp dry beads mixed with 2 cups of water will yield a 2 cups of water beads when fully hydrated.
- Allow the beads to fully expand in 48-72 hours.
- Remove the expanded beads from the water and pour into vases or bowls and ready to use.
- To rinse off water beads place them in a colander, add a few drops of dish soap and rinse the water beads off thoroughly.
- Dry Out: You can lay rinsed water beads in a single layer on a cookie sheet or flat area (we recommend placing them on top of wax or parchment paper. They will dry down to their original size and you can rehydrate them again. (We find that once this has been done 3 times the beads start to break apart and it is time to use fresh beads.)
NOTE: The water beads are non-toxic, but should not be eaten, please keep away from children under 3 years, play under adult's supervision
